While we may not be able to “reveal” our entire process for fear that others may mimic it, we can let you in on a little secret that has been one of the keys to our success over the years. What’s So Great About Asphalt Based Emulsion Sealers?

Many years ago contractors had 2 choices when it came to a sealer product for asphalt. They could choose to use a coal tar based sealer that was an extremely high-end coating or an inferior coating made from pre-emulsified asphalt. The disadvantage of the coal based emulsion sealer was the sheer expense and finally this option was no longer available because it was simply too expensive for consumers. What were consumers to do that wanted a high quality sealcoating product?

STAR’s Micro-Pave Line to the Rescue

To fill the void left by the coal based sealers, STAR’s Micro-Pave line was launched. This line of asphalt-based sealcoating products used different ways of formulating and processing asphalt sealers that were never used before. Due to its unique formulation the Micro-Pave line is able to rival coal tar sealers in many performance aspects including longevity, fuel resistance, color retention, etc. While the Micro-Pave line of asphalt sealers is more expensive than other asphalt sealers, its performance is well worth the added cost.
